As pop would mainly appeal to a younger audience, the videos have to be eye catching and interesting to keep their attention. You will also notice that they are all very colourful and use many patterns not always looking realistic.

clearly show the conventions of the genre rock. Most rock videos are live performance videos as this genre focuses quite solely on the music in comparison to Pop that also is all about image.
